II. Membership Criteria for Competitions
To become a member of GFIOMC, a competition must:
- Submit a formal application detailing its structure, organizers, and past history.
- Demonstrate a track record of professionalism and fair adjudication.
- Publicly disclose the names, bios, and affiliations of adjudicators.
- Provide meaningful feedback to participants (in written or video format).
- Maintain consistent operational standards and uphold the Federation's mission.
- Agree to annual ethical and artistic compliance reviews by GFIOMC.
III. Adjudication Standards
- Composition of Adjudication Members
The adjudication panel of GFIOMC consists of professors, composers, and conductors from the world's top music conservatories and universities; internationally renowned musicians; distinguished educators; conductors and members of prestigious symphony orchestras; professional performers on international stages; and senior examiners from major global examination boards. They are recognized for their outstanding musical artistry, fairness in judgment, and deep experience in both performance and pedagogy.- Adjudicators are not permitted to evaluate submissions from their own students or family members.
- Scoring System
- A standardized rubric is used to evaluate technique, interpretation, expression, accuracy, stage presence, and other relevant criteria.
- All scores are confidential and accompanied by brief rationales.
- Feedback Process
- All participants receive clear and constructive feedback.
- Where possible, adjudicators are encouraged to provide feedback in audio or video form.
IV. Governance and Ethics

GFIOMC’s board members and senior administrative leaders possess deep professional expertise in music education, arts management, and the administration of international events. Their credentials include professorships at world-class music institutions, recognition as key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the music field, respected educators, philanthropists, and advocates for social welfare and humanitarian causes through the arts. - Conflict of Interest Policy
All board members and adjudicators must declare potential conflicts of interest and recuse themselves when necessary. - Anti-Discrimination Clause
No applicant or participant shall be discriminated against based on race, gender, nationality, religion, or disability.
